The Centropolis is located in the historic River Market District just north of Downtown, the Power & Light District and many local arts venues such as the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts. The River Market is a riverfront neighborhood in Kansas City, Missouri that comprises the first and oldest incorporated district in Kansas City. City Market

City MarketThe City Market is the largest property in the River Market District. City Market merchants are open-daily featuring an eclectic mix of dining, shopping, entertainment and attractions in a unique open-air setting. The City Market offers locals and visitors a variety of restaurants, fresh produce, specialty groceries, and gift items from around the world. The Arabia Steamboat Museum displays thousands of artefacts from a steamboat and its cargo that sunk nearby in 1856 and was recovered in 1987-88. The market and museum are among Kansas City’s most popular tourist attractions.

City Market - Farmers' Market

Farmers MarketThe City Market offers shoppers the opportunity to purchase the best of the heartland direct from producers, year-round. At the City Market farmers' market, you will find the finest produce, fresh from Missouri and the surrounding region, benefit from unsurpassed value, and support local farmers!

Rain or shine, the region's largest farmers' market is bringing “Farm to Table” right to the heart of the city with fresh produce and goods. The farmers’ market can be found at the City Market every Saturday and Sunday year-round. More than 140 vendor stalls burst with bedding plants, fruits, vegetables, meats, herbs, fresh baked goods and other sweets, cut flowers and crafts made by local artisans.

The City Market also is home to the Farm to Table Kitchen which is a commercially licensed kitchen that incorporates an educational component covering a variety of topics such as food safety, preparation and general nutrition, and provides cooking demonstrations and sampling during the Farmers' Market throughout the year. Additionally, caterers or food artisans can rent the Kitchen, so join us and “Let’s Get Cookin’”.
